Best Drugstore Body Washes

Good morning, folks!  Hope you are well this Thursday morning. Today I thought I would share with you my favorite drugstore body washes. Well, I guess I should just say 'favorite body washes' period. I enjoy the ones from BBW and VS, but I prefer these MUCH more. Overall they just do a better job to me - they feel better, have a much richer lather, you get much more product, I don't know. These body washes (in my opinion) are the best.

First, we will have to talk about what I like and/or look for in a body wash.  You might have a completely different taste than me, therefore these products may not be what you are looking for.  For me, I enjoy a body wash that lathers up and gets me soapy, WITHOUT drying my skin out. That can actually be kind of hard to find. I HATE body washes that feel like you're basically trying to shower with lotion, and probably equally hate those that leave you feeling like a lizard when you step out of the shower because they've stripped your skin of every last drop of oil it had. Although given the option, I'd probably choose the whole lizard thing as opposed to the whole bathing with lotion thing. I really, really, really hate that. Some people really like, even love it. And that's great, wish I did, but I don't. So as I was saying, something that lathers up well, doesn't strip my skin, smells great, and leaves me feeling really clean. That's what I look for in a body wash. I moisturize outside the shower, so that really isn't an important factor to me. Like I said, as long as it doesn't strip my skin and make it feel dry, it's fine with me. I will lotion up, etc once I'm out and dried off. Two brands that are GREAT in my opinion are Caress and Dial.

#1:  Caress Passionate Spell

It's a toss up between this one and the next one which one is my absolute favorite. This one has what's described as a 'passionfruit and fiery orange rose' scent. It. Smells. So. Good. Period. Rich and deep and perfect for this time of year (although it would be great year round).  The smell actually lasts when you get out of the shower too. It reminds me so much of my Gucci Guilty Black perfume. I adore that whole deep/fiery scent. Yum. It lathers great, gets me all soapy and clean. I will always buy this little puppy. Oh yeah, it's also like dirt cheap too. Yay!

#2:  Dial NutriSkin Grape Seed Oil & Lemongrass

I've used this for a couple of years now. When I first noticed it, it had an 'Allure' beauty award on it. That was all I needed to give it a whirl, and I ended up loving it. Dial body washes foam and lather up superbly. I absolutely love getting all soapy and bubbly. I really don't feel clean unless I do. These do great. And if you look close at this body wash, it has these little beads of fruit oil that release as you're bathing. Feels great, doesn't dry you out.  Smells so clean. Love love love it.

#3:  Olay Total Effects 7 Advanced Anti-Aging (with VitaNiacin)

So, as I mentioned before, I hate...no, DESPISE body washes that feel like you're trying to bath with lotion.  Yes, I  am referring to the Dove body wash. What's it called, Nutrium or whatever?

This stuff has like a cult following I know, but people I can't take it. Literally, go pour some lotion on a puff or wash cloth and try to shower with it. Same thing. I am one of those people that has to suds up to feel clean. I am almost OCD about it. Always have been. I used to be a lot worse, I am coming around. (Literally, I used to have certain steps in the shower I had to follow or I didn't feel clean. I had to soap up with bar soap first, then liquid soap, shave, then repeat. Seriously. If I didn't follow all those steps, I felt unclean the rest of the day.  I am disturbed, but am getting better! lol).  Perhaps now you understand and I have stressed my importance of soaping up?  Okay, moving on. I try to NEVER waste anything I buy. Even if it's something I'm not crazy about, I suck it up and use it up before I buy a replacement. No matter what it is. The only thing I have been unable to do that with is the Dove Nutrium body wash. I literally couldn't stand it that much. I tried mixing it with other body washes, nope didn't work. It was just so heavy and thick it zapped all the soapiness out of whatever I tried mixing it with. Hated it. Hated the smell, hated everything about it. It sat in my shower till it got rusty, and I eventually tossed it. I seen this Olay body wash in the clearance stuff at Walmart. I almost passed it up because I thought OMGsh, if it's anythingggg like that Dove it will be just $ wasted. I am so glad I tried this!  It is like the perfect combination of a sudsy/lotiony body wash. It's moisturizing and still yet lathers. Smells great, feels great, PERFECT for winter. This is the one that is in my shower as we speak. I love everything about it.  So if you are looking for a moisturizing body wash like the Dove Nutrium but want something more soapy, grab this and give it a try. I think you'll really like it!

Alright guys, hope you found this helpful and hope I didn't step on any toes about the whole Dove thing. Lots and lots of people love it, it just happens to be one of those things I don't like. At all!  lol. But, if you're in the market for a new body wash, try one of these out. I don't think you'd be disappointed. Thanks for stopping by!  Come back again soon!!! Muaahh!
