Organizing Lipsticks

Hey guys! I have spent several hours this past week in an attempt to organize some of my makeup. Santa Claus is supposed to be bringing me a new makeup vanity......(I wish he would go ahead and swing by this way and drop it off!!!!) Anyhoo, I have been organizing some of my lip products this morning and this is by far the most challenging. I like for all my makeup to be orderly and categorized for easy usage. If I don't have it that way it usually ends up thrown in a drawer, I forget about it, and it ends up never getting used. If I have things where I can see them and grab them easily, it is much more likely I will use them. It is almost impossible, for me anyways, to get my lip products organized like that. For one they end up EVERYWHERE. They are spread ALL over my house (on the coffee table, on my night stand, on the bathroom counter, on the kitchen table, in my travel makeup bag, etc). They are also in my cup holders in the car, in the ashtray, as well as in the console. And do we even need to talk about what's in my purse? I can't keep this at a minimum. I try, but there always ends up being like dozens thrown in there, it's inevitable. I bought 7 of these clear plastic lipstick holders from Amazon. I left one by itself for my most used MAC products, but glued the others together to make 2 big lipstick holders.

Each section holds 24 lipsticks/glosses, so this altogether holds 168. I thought this would be enough, but I'm running out of space!

I put some of my lip products in this little container. I have multiples of the Mega Shine Glosses/Butter Glosses/Lip Creams and balm stains, so I grouped them together for easy storage/usage.

I have 12 of these and as you can see, they are not all here. They are everywhere! I will have to round these up and put them in their new home.

(Jordana, Revlon, Covergirl, Neutrogena, etc.)

MAC lipstick/lipglass. My all-time favorite MAC lipsticks are Hue,Cremecup, and Up the Amp. I can't remember what all is pictured here, but others include: Ruby Woo, Russian Red, Snob, Myth, Pretty Please, Pure Zen, Speed Dial, Bombshell, Angel, Rebel,High Tea, Velvet Teddy, etc.

When I am all done I will post some pics. It will probably be after Santa has dropped off my Christmas gift and I have things in order. Thanks for stopping by and PLEASE leave any tips you might have for storing your lip products. As someone who is slightly OCD I really struggle with this. Have a great rest of your week everybody!!! xoxo
