MOTD: Marc Jacobs Lolita Palette

Hey guys!  On Mother's Day I went to church with my mom and spent the day out and about doing family related things.  I was really happy with my makeup look that morning, and when I got home 16 hours later that night I was really surprised to see how good things still looked.  I didn't really photograph my makeup any, but we did take some pictures that day that kind of show it.  So today I thought I would share with you what I used, as the look really came together quite nicely (if I do say so myself!!!)

As with most of my makeup looks I did just a basic, slightly smokey eye and kept everything else really simple.

The lighting in the restaurant we were in was dismal and made my lipgloss look really light here.  It wasn't that light in person, lol.

These photos were taken after I made it back home that night, 16 hours after I had put my makeup on that day.

What I used:

Pictured:
Covergirl Lash Perfection Mascara
MAC Lipglass in Bared For You (L/E)
MAC Powder Blush in Peaches
Marc Jacobs O!Mega Bronze in Tantric
Marc Jacobs Eyeshadow Palette in The Lolita
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette

This palette is just so easy and the shadows in it are just beautiful.  The 1st shade in the palette is probably my favorite browbone highlight shade ever.  The 2nd shade is the perfect matte midtone crease shade ever as well.  The last 2 shades in the palette are gorgeous on the lid!  The shadows blend perfectly, the formula is just great.  The only bad thing I can say about this palette is it is a little expensive, but it's just one of those things, you get what you pay for.   I have loved this palette ever since I purchased it, and only love it more each and every time I use it.

I use this all the time, so if you follow my blog this should come as no shock to you.  Just a really good matte bronzer that is huge and will last  a long time.  Period.

The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders are my favorite highlights to use.  I have really oily skin so I am very particular about what I use, as I don't want to look like a disco ball or oil slick.  These powders give you a perfect glow without being over the top which is perfect for me.  I have a couple of singles that almost always use, but to switch it up this time I used this palette.  My favorite shade in this is the middle one, Incandescent Light.

MAC Peaches blush is perfection.  Peach blush is universally flattering, meaning it looks good on just about everyone.  The formula of this is spot on.  It is matte, which is great for not accentuating pores or fine lines.  This is also great for the hot and humid months because there's no glitter or shimmer to further add to things possibly already looking dewy or too shiny.  It really brightens your face up and gives life to your makeup looks.  Looooove this.

For the lips:
MAC High Tea lipstick
MAC Bared For You lipglass (LE)

High Tea is one of my favorite lipsticks from MAC.  It's neutral and goes with anything and would be flattering on pretty much anybody!  Great to wear if you are sporting a more dramatic eye.

Had I known how much I would love this lipglass I would have bought more when they had it.  Bared For You is a gorgeous rose gold peach gloss with lots of shimmer.  It was from the A Novel Romance collection and it is lovely!!!

Sorry for the lack of photos for this look, but it really did turn out pretty.  If you have any questions feel free to let me know!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great week everybody!
