Happy New Year 2015! (MOTD & LOTD)

I can't believe another year has come and gone and we are now in 2015!  Overall 2014 was much better to me than 2013, and I am sad to see it go.  I was BLESSED with so much love and happiness, and this year my life had more peace in it than it's ever had.  Here's to an even better 2015, my friends!

To bring in the new year we were going to go out and grab dinner then head over to play games/hang out with family.  I have been battling a cold the past couple of days and we actually had to cut dinner short and head home.  I felt terrible!  But we did get to at least eat good and share a kiss at the stroke of midnight <3

This was at the restaurant.  We shared for an appetizer the shrimp tempura with spicy mayo and for dinner I had a delicious filet with asparagus and David had a lump crab and potato dish.  For dessert I had white chocolate cheesecake and David opted for rice pudding (although we had to take those to go as I wasn't feeling well).  It was yummy!

My LOTD (look of the day):

Confetti nails!  I already had my nails painted the nude color, so I just added some glitter and was done.  I think this looks so festive!

The polishes I used were Deborah Lippmann's Naked and OPI's The Living Daylights.

I cracked open my Maybelline Sensational mascara and I really liked it.  It gives really good length, and I think it will continue to get better as it dries out a little.  Straight out of the tube the first time it didn't give me as much of a dramatic look as The Rocket, but it was really good nontheless.  This is a mascara you can totally build up.  I normally only do a single coat of mascara, but I had to do 2-3 coats to get the look I was aiming for.  Again, I think as this mascara dries out a little bit it will work even better (as most mascaras do).

For my eye makeup the main thing I used here was MAC's Blue Brown pigment.  This pigment is GORGEOUS but so hard to photograph!  It is so multidimensional and it looks different from every angle.  It's a beautiful deep brown with a blue/green pearl.  I used a couple of shadows in the Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar palette to blend things out (Puddin and Peanut Butter).

On my browbone I used the lightest shade in the Marc Jacobs Lolita palette.  I used Physician's Formula Eye Booster pen in Ultra Black on my upper lash line, and MAC's Costa Riche Eye Kohl on my waterline, Maybelline Sensational mascara.

Make Up For Ever HD foundation & powder, MAC Mocha blush, Marc Jacobs O!Mega Bronze, Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal (liquid, then topped with the pressed version - I wanted A LOT of highlight for New Year's!!!), Anastasia Brow Wiz and Dip Brow Pomade, MAC Prep + Prime in Radiant Rose set with MAC Emphasize, Urban Decay De-Slick setting spray, Revlon Lip Butter in Creme Brulee.  Later on in the night I also used Gerard Cosmetics lip gloss in Nude.

Here's to a happy, healthy, blessed 2015 to all my friends and family!

*Besos*
