Cheesecake Factory Passion/Tropical Tea

Hey guys!  If you've ever been to a Cheesecake Factory to eat, then perhaps you have tried one of their iced passion/tropical teas.  They are delicious!  I wanted some for here at the house, so I researched online what they use and found out it is the Paradise Tropical Tea.

I ordered this in bulk from Amazon for $83.  You get 25 3oz bags, which will last sooooo long.  I make this by the individual cup and by the jug.  Basically anyway you brew this it turns out delicious.

I usually keep one 3oz bag of this open at any given time.  I pour it in a gallon size freezer bag and use what I want, then seal it up for future use.

For an individual cup of tea, I use my Teavana measuring spoon.  It's supposed to give you 'one cup of perfect tea.'

I use the FORLIFE Brew-in-Mug Extra-Fine Tea Infuser (with a lid).  You just take the lid off, pour in your tea leaves and hot water and you're done.  This will fit large and small mugs, I've never used a cup that it hasn't fit.

I use my Keurig for hot water.  Quick and easy.

I put the lid of my infuser on my cup and let my tea brew for a couple of minutes.

A lot of people drink this tea without any sweetener, but what can I say.....I'm from Kentucky people.  Tea ain't tea if it ain't sweet, haha.  My preferred sweetener is Truvia.

I use a plastic, BPA free, insulated cup like this one, that way I don't have to worry if my tea has cooled enough to put in a glass with ice.  Pouring a warm or hot liquid in on ice does not hurt this cup.  Also, if you'll notice the infuser in the background, the lid of the infuser serves as a holder for your infuser as well, that way you don't make a mess when you are done brewing your tea.

Yummy!  I almost forgot to take a picture of my cup of tea till I was almost done with it!  Like I said, I'll also brew a jug of this at a time as well.  I use about 7 heaping TBSP and brew it in a 12 cup coffee maker with a filter.  Once it's brewed I transfer the coffee to a plastic carafe and add about 1/4 cup of Truvia.  I let it cool and then I store it (in the carafe) in the refrigerator.  Soooooooo good.

Alright guys, that just about does it!  If you have any questions or if you have any tips on how you brew your loose leaf tea then just let me know!  Thanks for stopping by!

  3. I love this tea to but don't like paying $3.75 at Cheesecake Factory for a glass of it. I'm trying to learn how to make it without the trevania accessories. So far I figured out that it has to steep for a while in about a half cup water before I can add it to a jug of black iced tea.

  8. ITs Delicious Ice Cold with a Wedge of Orange...that's the way the Cheese Cake Factory serves it and it makes it perfect. I do not use sweetener! The Orange adds plenty of sweetness to the tea! Erica thank you for all the fabulous information. I have been looking for this tea for ever so long. I purchased it from starwest s long time ago and then recently purchased it by the pound snd it was awful. They had changed the blend...:-(
