Valentine's Day LOTD (Plus a V-Day Inspired Dubsmash!!!)

Hey guys!  As many of you are aware, the east coast of the states got some snow yesterday and we are supposed to get even more over the next couple of days.  I had got ready to go out and eat and have a date-night for Valentine's Day, but we ended up getting snowed in and had to stay home.  I didn't want the time I had spent on my hair and makeup to be a total waste, so I thought I'd do a blog post and show you how it turned out.  I did a really pinky-smokey romantic eye and accessorized with some holiday appropriate items as well.

As far as what I was wearing, I always keep it simple.  I broke my foot really bad a few years ago, so it is VERY rare I wear heels, I'm just more casual than that.  I kept the look really simple, a fitted long-sleeved black t-shirt with skinny jeans and black leather knee boots.  I threw on a cashmere blend pashmina and a pink-hued statement necklace in honor of the holiday <3

Shirt:  Old Navy
Jeans:  American Eagle
Boots:  Chinese Laundry
Cashmere Pashmina:  I picked this up in a boutique while vacationing in Nice, France
Necklace:  I honestly don't remember (it's old).  Either JCrew or something similar.

Large ring on my right hand:  H&M
Bangle:  Forever 21
Watch:  Kate Spade

For the makeup look:
Covergirl Ready, Set Gorgeous foundation and powder
It Cosmetics Vitality Face Disc (bronzer only)
Nars Gaiety blush (the perfect pink for V-Day!)
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Luminous Light
Too Faced Romantic Eye Palette (of course!)
Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
Urban Decay lipstick in Native
(I later changed my lipstick to something darker)
For the eye look I started with a sweep of the pale pink shade "Kiss the Bride" in the Too Faced Romantic Eye Palette all over my lid and crease area.

I starting blending out my crease with the beautiful pinky Cupcake, and deepened up my crease with Bitten.  Both of these shadows are by Makeup Geek and they are beautiful!

Taking my UD Naked 3 palette, I used the lightest shade (Strange) on my browbone.  Next, I used Buzz on my lid, and then I took the darkest shade in the palette (Blackheart) in my outer V and lower lash line.  I blended the lower lash line out with that same Cupcake shade I had used on my crease.

Taking a super small dome shaped brush I took just a dab of Roulette (from the Makeup Geek Vegas Lights palette) and ever so slightly swept it on my upper crease to warm it up a little bit.  So pretty!

As I mentioned before, I had started out with the Urban Decay lipstick in Native, but that is such a soft pink shade I really wanted something more purpley-pink (to match my necklace and pashmina) so I ended up using a Stila lipstick in the shade Gemma.

I like a little sparkle, so I topped Gemma off with the Buxom gloss in Rachel.

Rachel and Gemma make a perfect pair <333

**besos**

I created a Dubsmash compilation video in honor of St. Valentine's Day.  It's called the Evolution of a Relationship and in just 2 and a half minutes I show every phase of a relationship via dubsmash clips.  I have one other Dubsmash compliation video, if you would like to watch that you can find it here.

Hope you guys had a wonderful Valentine's Day!  Hugs and kisses from my house to yours <3
