November 2014 Favorites!

Hey guys!  I started this blog post days ago and then unfortunately came down with a stomach virus that had me out of commission for a few days.  Omgsh it was horrible, but thankfully I am on the mend and back in business.  I have several favorites this month so without further adieu, let's get to it.

Hair care:

I use a lot of oils and leave-in products on my hair, and the Big shampoo from Lush is great for days I want a really clean scalp feeling, lol.  It foams up to such a rich lather and leaves your hair so light and clean without making it feel totally stripped, know what I mean?  Love.

When I first tried this conditioner I was a little iffy about it.  When you squirt it in your hand it feels kind of runny, it's totally not a very thick consistency.  I normally tend to go for super thick conditioners thinking the heavier the better for my hair.  I don't know what it is about this conditioner, but my hair totally absorbs this better and it makes it sooooooooo soft.  Will definitely be repurchasing.

Everytime I wash my hair I always put in leave-in products, which is almost always my Living Proof Perfect Hair Day and Chi Silk Infusion followed by this hair oil.  (I know the pic is kind of blurry {sorry} it's the Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco).  I get this at Rite Aid and I have to say, it's one of my favorite hair oils EVER.  It doesn't make my hair greasy at all (I have really long/thick hair and use 2 pumps after washing) but it does soften it up and make it really shiny.  Also, on 2nd day hair when I am not washing my hair I add in 1 pump of this to my ends to keep things soft and conditioned and again, this doesn't make my hair oily.  Love, love, love.  Something to keep in mind if you purchase this, the neck of the bottle is super skinny so your first few pumps of this make you think the product is going super fast.  No worries, once you get to the fat part of the bottle the product doesn't seem to go as quickly.  I use this every single day and have had this bottle for almost 2 months and am not even half way done with it.  A little goes a long way!

Skin care:

I love this face wash!  I use it in the morning (obviously) with my Clarisonic and it's just lovely.  Nothing fancy here, just a no frills oil-free face wash that makes your skin feel really clean without over-drying.  Plus it's cheap and from the drugstore so win/win.

A grrrreat facial scrub for days I'm not using my Clarisonic.  Another excellent drugstore skincare product!

A true HG product here - my favorite mask from the drugstore.  If you are prone to blackheads and texture issues then this product is definitely worth trying.

And the last products I am going to mention as far as skincare goes this month are these 'rose' ones.  I have found through trial and error that my skin really reacts well to rose-based products.  My personal favorites include the Thayer's Rose Petal Witch Hazel Alcohol-Free Toner, the Mario Badescu Rose Water, NOW 100% pure Rose Hip Seed Oil, and the Freeman Rose Brightening Facial Paper Mask (I get mine at Walmart).

Makeup:

Totally LOVING my Covergirl Ready, Set Gorgeous foundation and powder!  If you have oily skin then you should definitely try this!!!!  Also been loving my Maybelline matte lipstick in Lust For Blush, as well as my MAC lipstick in Syrup.  Favorite mascaras of the month go to Nars and Maybelline (Rocket Volum).  And my favorite palette of the month is the beautifully perfect Stila In the Light palette.

If you don't have this palette then you have to go get it!  Ugh.  So beautiful.

Another favorite this month is my Maybelline Dream Lumi concealer in Radiant.  I use this interchangeably with my MAC Prep+Prime in Radiant Rose.  Both look lovely under the eyes and really brighten you up.

And I had to mention my Nars eyeshadow primer.  The only primer I've used this month and it always works great.  Perfect without fail.

Clothing:

Have to mention my Golden Goose Charlye Boots.  I know they're expensive, a definite investment for sure.  But my goodness, the PERFECT riding boot.

I purchased these from Barney's New York and I did link them if you're interested.  They're actually cheaper now than they were before.  They were $1295.00 when I got them, now they're available for $1255.00.  Not much, but hey, any little bit helps!  LOL!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day everybody!  Muuuahhh!
