A Perfect Day: York Beach, Maine!

Hey guys!  Today I wanted to share with you some photos of the day we spent in York Beach, Maine while on our New England vacay!

The area of Maine that we visited was York Beach, which is located in the southwest part of the state.  A gorgeous town with picturesque beaches, this place is breathtaking!

On the North side of Cape Neddick is the famous Cape Neddick Light, or Nubble Light, lighthouse.  Built in 1879, it is said to be the most photographed lighthouse in the world.  (You can see it in the distance).

OOTD:
 Pink top from American Eagle
Lobster print chinos from Old Navy
(I purchased them from eBay)
Crossbody bag from Rebecca Minkoff
Sunnies are Quay Austrailia

A visit to Maine is not complete without a fresh Maine lobster, so we chose to go to the Lobster Cove.  Oceanfront dining with absolutely delicious food, this place did not disappoint.

We both ordered their popular Twin Lobster Dinner where you (each) get 2 whole fresh Maine lobsters, an ear of corn, a baked potato (or fries) and a drink for $28!  It was soooooo good!  Shellfish is one of my favorite foods and we absolutely loved it.

David working on his lobsters.  He is a pro at this, while I looked like something straight out of the movie Splash!

Downtown there are lots of fun activities for families:  bowling, arcades, shops, restaurants, nightlife, etc.  A really popular jaunt is Goldenrod Kisses, where you can watch them make salt water taffy right through the window!

This is such a beautiful town and there is so much to do, HIGHLY recommend visiting the area if you ever get the chance.  Hope you enjoyed sharing our wonderful day together!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
