DIY Flag Nails: 4th Of July Manicure!

Hey guys!  Quick Independence Day inspired nail-of-the-day!  What better to do than flag nails???  This was super easy, so scroll down to see how I got this look :-)

I already had white polish on my nails, I was actually on the 4th day of my manicure I did with Nails Inc Floral Street.

For the look I used a red, white, and blue polish, and of course my Seche Vite top coat.
-Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in Blue Me Away
-Sinful Colors in Snow Me White
-I <3 Nail Art Pen in Red

I used the red pen to make stripes lengthwise down my nails.  Then, I made a couple of swipes with the blue polish on the corner end of each nail.  I have an unsteady hand when doing detail work, but don't sweat it.  You don't have to be precise with this!

I don't have a dotting tool, so I just used a bobby pin.  I put some of the white polish on a scrap piece of paper I had, then used the end of the bobby pin to put some white dots on the blue area of my nails.

An up-close shot of how my nails looked.  I am really happy with how they turned out!

I started to take my white polish off and paint a couple of my fingers on each hand a little differently, but I was too lazy.  It was too easy to just go ahead and paint each finger with the flag design since I already had white polish on my nails.  This is my left hand, which is easiest for me to do since I am right handed.

I was nervous about trying to do my right hand, because I am not good with my left hand whatsoever.   I was really happy with how it turned out!!!

Hope that gives you an idea for a super easy 4th of July inspired nail look!  Have a safe and happy holiday and please come back soon!
