Ulta Haul: Too Faced Vegas Nay, NYX, Cricket, Etc.!!!

Hey guys!  Today I wanted to share with you some things I picked up at Ulta recently.  If you are looking for a good makeup item to buy someone as a Christmas gift I have the PERFECT recommendation for you!

I was so excited to get this!  As someone with quite a bit of makeup in her collection, I rarely buy eyeshadow palettes anymore simply because I have SO many I don't really have a need for anymore or even a want for anymore.  It takes something really special for me to want it, and that is exactly what this makeup set is (at least in my opinion).  This set is a $192 value where you get a 12 pan eyeshadow palette, a deluxe Better Than Sex mascara, a deluxe Shadow Insurance eyeshadow primer, and a loose glitter pigment.

(also included are some how-to cards for different makeup looks you can create with the palette)

This palette is everything I love in a palette - a mixture of mattes and shimmers which includes a matte brow bone shade, a great midtone crease shade to blend things out, a matte black to smoke things out, beautiful shimmery shades for the lid, pops of color - this palette is almost perfection.  The colors are really soft and buttery and just a really great quality overall.  I think this palette would be ideal for someone who needs really great basics, and I also think this is great for someone who has a lot of makeup but can really appreciate a palette that literally has everything you need.  Love, love, love, love.  By far one of my favorite purchases I've made in 2015.

Cricket Amped Up Teasing Brush, $3.66

As someone who NEVER teases their hair, I am still kind of surprised I even bought this.  I figured it would be good to have if I did need to do any teasing with my hair, as I didn't even own a teasing comb or brush.

Nyx Baked Blush in Full On Femme, $6.99

I have always enjoyed Nyx blushes and I thought this really light pink one was really pretty.  It is so light that I thought it would be good to use as a highlight.  While I do enjoy champagne and gold highlights, my favorites are actually whitish/cream colored ones and pink ones.

Real Techniques Setting Brush, $7.99

Just looking at this brush I thought it would maybe be good for highlighting.  I like to have numerous brushes for each step of my makeup, so that if one is dirty I always have a clean one handy!

Nyx High Voltage Lipstick in Flutter Kisses, $5.99

I hadn't ever tried any of the High Voltage lipsticks before and this color looked really pretty in the tube.  It's not super full-on color I don't think, just a really easy lip product to throw on and go.  Super moisturizing and balm-like, this is not a sticky or matte type lip product that is going to stay on your lips super long.  The color is very pretty though and this is a really comfortable lipstick to wear.

And the last thing I picked up was a new hair donut!  Gotta love a top knot!

Thanks for stopping by guys and have a great week!
