November 2015 Favorites!

Hey guys!  I seem to put out a Favorites post about every other month, and seeing as how I didn't do one in October I definitely wanted to do one for the month of November.  Giving yourself a good 6-8 weeks to be using stuff really allows you enough time to really gather up several goodies, and that's just what I've done.  Here are some of the things I've recently been enjoying!  We will start with beauty favorites.

Even though I have a fairly decent makeup collection, a beauty blog, etc., I do not wear makeup on a daily basis.  I totally believe in letting your skin breath and embracing how you look naturally.  When I do wear makeup I actually really like just using my It Cosmetics CC+ cream, as it's your makeup/skincare/sunscreen all in one.  I got this huge tube of it on QVC, which is double the size of a normal tube.  Other favorites over the past couple of months include the Kat Von D makeup setting spray, Nars Sin blush, Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Powder in Candlelight, Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder, and Maybelline lipstick in Lust For Blush.  I've used these products nearly every single time I've put makeup on!

Two drugstore items I have really been enjoying are the L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte foundation and the Infallible Makeup Extender Setting Spray.  I am a makeup setting spray junkie and this one truly is one of my favorites!  I have extremely oily skin and the Pro-Matte foundation has been excellent.

As someone who used to NEVER use a primer, I have turned into a total primeraholic, lol.  I use 2 every single time I do my makeup - one for pores and one to mattify.  My favorite pore minimizing primers are Benefit's The Professional and the Photo Finish Pore Minimizing one by Smashbox.  My favorite mattifying primer is by Make Up For Ever.  It's expensive, about $36/tube, but totally worth it.  I had a deluxe size sample of it that I've been using the past couple of months, so I went ahead and bought the largest tube they sell of it during the Sephora VIB sale this year.  If you have oily skin this stuff is a total MUST.

My lips can chap very easily during the colder months and I always take a little bit better care of them this time of year.  I LOVE using the Lush Mint Julips lip scrub and then following that with some of the Jack Black Natural Mint lip balm.  Whether you're just at home and staying in or you are prepping your pout for a matte liquid lipstick, this combination is perfection!

I am very guilty of totally neglecting this palette all throughout the year, but come Fall and Winter I always find myself reaching for it.  As most of you know, the Lorac Pro Palettes have excellent quality shadows in them, and my favorite gold eyeshadow of life is in the original Pro Palette.

People, if you are looking for a beautiful gold eyeshadow then look no further.  Other favorites in this palette definitely include Garnet and Sable.  Buttery soft and super pigmented, these palettes make great gifts as well!

As far as nails go I am still really enjoying this beautiful creamy black polish by Sally Hansen in Blacky-O.  I actually did a tutorial on how I paint my nails using this polish, if you want to see that just click here.

I've basically been wearing 2 different scents this month, my signature Fall/Winter perfume YSL's Manifesto, as well as the deliciously yummy Vanille perfume I picked up at Anthropologie while in Vegas a couple of months ago.  Manifesto is deeper and sexier, and the Vanille is a warm, sugary sweet, caramel vanilla scent that makes you smell good enough to eat.  Love both of these!

Fashion favorite of the month has to be vests.  While we have had several cool/cold days, overall it has been much warmer than usual here in Kentucky this year and I have found that a vest has been the perfect solution so far.  It keeps you warm but not too warm, super easy to slip on and off, you can pair it with just about anything, etc.  The white one pictured here is the Barn Vest from Old Navy (couple of years old), and the navy monogrammed one is from Tiny Tulip.

I have put all of my yummy Fall candles away and have brought out several Winter themed ones.  I have really been enjoying Vanilla Snowflake and Merry Cookie (both from Bath and Body Works) as well as Christmas Cookie (by Yankee Candle).  I've said it time and time again,  a great smelling seasonal candle can immediately transform your home and put you in the holiday spirit!

Bailey's coffee creamers are the best creamers EVER in my opinion, and one of their limited edition holiday ones, Frosted Vanilla Cookie, is so good!  I want to try the White Chocolate Raspberry one as well, but I am on my 2nd BIG bottle of this particular one. I love it with my regular Morning Cafe that I drink every morning, and I also like it with the Dunkin' Donuts Chocolate coffee I have in the afternoons/evenings.  Yum.

I love all things Charlie Brown Christmas, and I was so excited to get these stamps for our Christmas cards!  There are several different holiday stamps out right now, but I think these are too cute!

As many of you know, we have some kittens at our house right now that we are trying desperately to find homes for.  They are babies and are extremely playful (into everything) and I don't want to put our Christmas tree up while they are here.  I put hand strung popcorn on my tree and I have several delicate ornaments and stuff that I don't want the kittens to have access to.  So, while they are here we have decided not to put a tree up.  In the meantime we are using this wooden tree that my aunt and uncle made us for Christmas!  We love it!

I also wanted to mention an app favorite this month.  Pic Lab is one of my favorite apps for photos!  It let's you put all kinds of cute sayings and stickers on your photos, especially during the holidays.  Here's one I created the other day...

...so cute!  Definitely check it out if you are interested in decorating your photos.  You could totally make a photo perfect for Christmas cards, or use it just for fun!

Alright guys, that's about it for now.  Let me know what things you've been loving!
Merry Christmas!
